Dining
Walk to the renowned Bluebonnet Restaurant in the HEART of Marble Falls!  Drive five minutes to the scenic Russo's Texitaly Grill  for Italian food, Hill Country Style.  Or for lakeside dining, choose Chili's or, perhaps,  River City Grill for more gourmet offerings (and sometimes evening entertainment).  Jamin House, in a re-conditioned old home in Marble Falls, offers the finest of recipes from the Caribbean.  Marble Falls boasts two Chinese restaurants, China Kitchen and Shangri La.  Doc's  is a good place to go if you crave seafood and Horseshoe Bay sports two fine restaurants, both with access from the water. 

Shopping
Marble Falls boasts a pretty shopping district near the lake on the historic Main Street, ideal for strolling from store to store. There is a variety of antique stores and gift shops as well as craft shops and clothing stores. Two restaurants sit conveniently in the shopping area;  offering a very fine dining experience, Russell's Station also frequently offers entertainment in the evenings and the Old Oak Icehouse  offers quick relief to hungry and thirsty shoppers!

When shopping for 'essentials' you will want to zip over to Atkin's Pharmacy, which sits very close to Cassidy House, or visit H.E.B. or WalMart, both a short distance away by car.  

Recreation
Boat rentals are offered at Kayak Harbor, which is practically next door.  You can rent a canoe or kayak and then just shoot off under the bridge home!  Granite Beach (part of LBJ Marina) has a playground right on the Lake for older children to challenge themselves on, with a restaurant within and a small beach for sunning and boat docking. 

For off-the-lake fun, please enjoy a large arcade and classy miniature golf  or world class golf at  nearby Horseshoe Bay (check out the three awesome courses or the magnificent short course) or even more convenient to Cassidy House, Meadowlakes is mere minutes away - or, perhaps get out of the sun entirely in the subterranean Longhorn Caverns, just ten minutes North of Marble Falls - and let the world up top cook while you enjoy the cool down below!  Conversely, in the hottest part of August, Marble Falls hosts the World's Annual Drag Boat races practically in front of Cassidy House on Lake Marble Falls.  If you like really fast, high performance boating - this is the week to come to Marble Falls!

Starting in the afternoon, our new and spiffy theater, The Driftwood has eight screens showing current Hollywood offerings.  For evening entertainment, please check our very own Hill Country Community Theater for current plays and musicals.  (You may need to reserve tickets in advance - it is generally very popular.) 

Area Events
Our busiest tourist seasons are the Spring (think GLORY! in the form of Wildflowers)  (Wildflower Center; Bluebonnet Trail) and Summer (Lake Marble Falls is a constant level lake; perfect for boating).  In August Marble Falls hosts Lakefest, featuring world class cigarette boat races, drawing in thousands of visitors for this week alone.  Please visit LakesandHills.com for this and other area event scheduling.

If you are fortunate enough to be here between Thanksgiving and New Years, be sure to visit the Walkway of Lights, sitting just on the other side of the Bridge from Cassidy House.  From the Bridge we get double the display as it reflects into the lake! If you are here for the Fourth of July, sit back on the dock - or either of the two decks - and watch the Fireworks display!  A little drive will take you to Sweetberry Farm where you can pick your own strawberries - or, in the fall, run through the one-acre Maize Maze in the shape of Texas.  There are a wide variety of day trips in the area - we are truly rich in fantastic natural beauty.  (See Krause Springs,  Pedernales Falls State Park,  Enchanted Rock, for instance.
